Structure of the measuring apparatus

The Chair for Hydraulic Engineering supported the Chair for Water Supply and Groundwater Protection with the assistance of the IWW Center for Water in an as-built analysis of the grit chamber in the Chemnitz central wastewater treatment plant. In order to record the flow distribution in the aerated grit trap, the flow velocities were measured in selected areas. The measurements serve as a means of comparison for a CFD model of the ACTUAL condition. In addition, the measurements are to show where and how a long-term flow measurement can be carried out.
