Short description

Scour studies on the physical model

Hydraulic model tests were conducted to investigate the hydraulic conditions for the following structures and reservoir areas:

Fierza HW spillway with

  • Dugout with jump
  • End area of the relief tunnel
  • Energy conversion in the adjacent water section

The focus of the 1:51.25 scale model tests was on the hydraulics of the outlet structures, their positioning, and the reservoir sections near the outlets or the impact area of the impinging jets.
